About OsteoMentor Team

We are a team that consists of 3 young and ambitious electrical and computer engineering students from Aristotle University Of Thessaloniki,Greece. Our goal is to make this world a better and easy place to live. Trying to achieve this goal we develop the OsteoMentor project that aims to assist osteoporosis patients in long-term self-managing, eliminating treatment drop-outs via radically new ICTbased personalised mentoring and interventions for empowering, motivating and helping them to improve and maintain their independence, functional capacity, health status, as well as preserving their physical, cognitive,mental and social well-being.

Theofilos Spyrou
Software Engineer specialized in Bot Applications

Theofilos Spyrou (September 16, 1996) was born in Messolonghi, Greece and is a third year Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a Microsoft Student Partner and a software developer with applications published in App Stores. He was part of the ZeroFuel, a university’s racing team. Among his interests are artificial intelligence, cloud computing and theoretical physics. In his free time he likes playing table tennis and volleyball. Zafeirios Bampos
Software Engineer specialized in Internet of Things and Web Development

Zafeirios Bampos (June 27, 1996) is a third year Electrical and Computer Engineering student from Greece. He is currently a Microsoft Student Partner with a lot of experience at presentations and project demos. His fields of interest include Environmental and Biomedical Engineering as well as Machine learning and Internet of Things technologies. He also has played Basketball for 9 years reaching a place at his Regional Basketball team. He acts in OsteoMentor as a Software Engineer specialized in Internet of Things and Web Development. George Tsoumalis
Software Engineer specialized in Mobile Development

George Tsoumalis (July 9, 1996) was born in Naousa, Greece and he is an undergraduate student at the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. His main interests are sports, and martial arts especially, cars and mobile applications development. He is the creator of a business mobile application called "ScanInOne" and a mobile game called "Color Chaos", both of which are published under his name at Google Play Store. Leontios Hadjileontiadis
Mentor

Leontios Hadjileontiadis (March 14 (π), 1966) is a Full Professor at the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, where he acquired both his Diploma and Ph.D. Degree. He is a faculty member of the Signal Processing and Biomedical Technology Unit, with a vast research experience in Biomedical Engineering and Human-Centered technologies. Since 2004, he serves as a mentor to student teams that excelled in the worldwide Imagine Cup Competition (Microsoft) with projects involving technology-based solutions for people with disabilities or neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s). Prof. Hadjileontiadis was the recipient of the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2012 Faculty Champion Award. He also holds a Diploma in Musicology and a PhD degree (University of York, UK) in music composition.
